Damn you, universe!
*Shakes fist!*

Mr B has had a vile case of flu for eight or nine days.

Last night, I idiotically said out loud: 'I'm so excited I haven't caught your flu, or at least nothing more than the very mildest sniffles! Usually I get it awfully.'

'Next year,' he replied. 'We both get seasonal flu shots. But yes, well done, you!'

This morning: raging sore throat, fever, aches, general malaise ... On the upside, at least this means I can put off having my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday!

I hope you both feel better soon! But having to put off having your wisdom teeth taken out is a bonus.

This is true! Bright side!

Don't tempt the universe!

And I hope you'll feel better soon. *sends tea with honey*

I know! SO silly of me!

Thank you for the tea. *Sips gently!*

Much sympathies having a cold, and having to contemplate teef removal!

I've been putting off losing the wisdom teeth for ages, but they are starting to crowd out my little mouth, damn them. And thanks, damn Sydney decided this was a good time of year to unleash plague. I bet it came from New Zealand. All the worst Sydney flus seem to!

Seasonal flu shots rule. :nods: Then again, I'm not sure even they will save you from retribution for such an open challenge as the one you issued... :D Hope you are as right as rain in no time again, though! :sends off good health vibes:

I am such a fool! And yes, they do. I had been meaning to have one all winter, but miscalculated, as H1N1 was the main flu here early on, which I was vaccinated against last November. By the time the late seasonal flu hit the other week, it was a bit late. Dammit!

And thanks, I am consuming garlic, tea and soup at a great rate of knots!

You should know better than to mock the supreme forces of the universe!

Now say, "I'm so glad Libby hasn't won the lottery!"
blamebramptonblamebrampton on September 1st, 2010 12:32 pm (UTC)
I am SO THRILLED Libby has not won over $100 million US and felt obliged to hand me 5% because my needs are small!

Talk about hard-pressed for that silver lining. Hope you feel better really soon and take care.

blamebramptonblamebrampton on September 1st, 2010 12:33 pm (UTC)
Well, given I was going to have the two top wisdom teeth out together with only a local, I'm half glad I was able to put it off. Though having said that, I am not sure it would have made me feel more miserable than the last few days!

Thank you, I feel tomorrow will be a step back towards health :-)

Oh dear. Never a good thing to tempt fate like that.

I WAS A FOOL! And it means I cannot ask you for hooping instruction until the weekend as my chest needs to be kept warm. (I am wearing a cat on my cleavage as we speak.)

You might not have as bad a case as J. Often when we get sick, one of us is worse off than the other. Hope it passes soon! And get some rest...
blamebramptonblamebrampton on September 1st, 2010 12:37 pm (UTC)
I seem to have had more of the falling over in a heap but less of the coughing up a lung than him. Luckily, I am sensible, so stayed home from work, this the falling over could be done into bed or onto the sofa :-)

Oh noes! Oh well, I suppose the teeth will keep ... *rubs tiger balm on your chest, chastely*

God bedring, min kjære. :)

You know, I am not sure buying the airline is the financially sensible thing to do at the moment, darling!

Mmmm, chaste balm ...

Tony Windsor! Dirk Cresswell has his magnifying glass out and is examining the figures as we speak!

The universe may still be in trouble ... Thanks, dear!

Speak of the flu devil...
blamebramptonblamebrampton on September 1st, 2010 12:39 pm (UTC)
We were very foolish. I should have knocked on wood IMMEDIATELY!

But then the suffering lasts longer.....
blamebramptonblamebrampton on September 1st, 2010 12:40 pm (UTC)
I couldn't give flu to the dentist, though. And the wisdom teeth aren't actually causing any major problems, they're just meant to come out because they will cause more problems in the future, thankfully.
lokifanlokifan on August 31st, 2010 10:16 pm (UTC)

I mean, oh dear!

I hope it doesn't last long :(
blamebramptonblamebrampton on September 1st, 2010 12:41 pm (UTC)
He's still sick after 10 days -- ridiculous! I am feeling a bit better after three, because I sensibly stayed in bed!
