Um … Dragons and Cats, really …
This was the best news story over the silly season: Australian scientists make a dragon for a seven year old girl. Thanks, sinden, for reminding me of it! Watch the video at the bottom of the story, it's brill!

And on an unrelated note, after sending one spare cat to live with our friend T, we have inherited another spare cat, as our friend T ended up with a stray kitten, who Moushka simply hated. He's been here four hours and so far Cookie thinks he's OK, Mon thinks it's all a terrible idea, and he is going to sniff EVERYTHING.

If anyone in Sydney has been on the brink of obtaining a small cat, we have a very handsome little black and white boy who just wants to be loved! Photos in a day or two when he is less skittish.

But which cat left now? I thought M was here for a year? But then my sense of time seems shot.

ETA: I don't get the dragon bit. It's just a model, right? LIke you can already buy anywhere?!?!

Cookie and Monster hated her too much, so she went to live with T. Then the kitten went to live with T and Mush hated her so much, he came to live with us.

It's made of titanium, from a 3D printer: sciency and cool!

I was absolutely delighted with CSIRO's response to the letter from that young Brisbane girl. Seriously good news story for science!

Ah, kittens.... Even though I'm in CBR not Sydney while I'd love to help out, I'm fairly sure Jcat and Bcat would not be impressed!
